Toyota's 2016 RAV4 is seeing a gorgeous facelift both inside and out as the Japanese brand is equipping it with hybrid technology, adding it to Toyota's seven hybrids in the market today. The newest RAV4 will feature a 2.5 liter cylinder non-turbocharged engine, giving the driver 194 horsepower and a 206-feet of torque with standard all-wheel drive, CNET reports.

Because it is half-powered by battery, drivers will have the option to travel using battery power only, thanks to the EV mode switch. Once in electric mode, the driver can enjoy a leisurely speed of 25 mph for about 0.6 miles, Gizmag reports.

Fans of the RAV4 will have a lot to look forward to with the Hybrid, as it is one of the brand's first U.S. models to incorporate the 2.5 liter cylinder, an amazing feature called Toyota Safety Sense (TSS), that includes forward collision warning with automatic precollision braking, lane-departure warning, adaptive cruise control and automatic high beams. The RAV4 is packed with safety technology, including front and rear parking sonar that makes parking easier, and an impressive Bird’s Eye View Camera with Perimeter Scan that provides the driver with a panoramic view of the vehicle’s surroundings on the central seven-inch touch display.

Drivers can choose between two different trim levels, XLE, which features dual-zone automatic climate control and a 6.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with phone-based navigation capability, and the Limited, which features the Toyota Safety Suite, heated leatherette seats with power adjustability, keyless entry and a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with built-in navigation. Those who are keen on colors will love that the vehicle will come in three new colors as well: Silver Sky Metallic, Black Currant Metallic, and Electric Storm Blue.

Inside, drivers can marvel at the cavernous space that can accommodate five adults, with 37.2 inches of rear legroom and 38.4 cu. ft. of cargo capacity for those long road trips. Speaking of road trips, drivers won't have to keep refilling gas thanks to its hybrid technology.

The interiors also feature luxurious SofTex-trimmed seats, and an eight-way power seat with memory and lumbar adjustment for the driver. The two front seats are also two-stage heated. For everyone's comfort, there are also sound insulation materials in the rear cargo area, floor pan, and side and rear doors to minimize outside noise.

According to Toyota's pressroom, "Toyota Hybrid Synergy Drive has long been the platinum standard for seamless hybrid performance, high efficiency and exemplary dependability. Drivers love the way it works, because they cannot feel it working, and that’s the point."
