Xbox Live Games with Gold: 4 free games this December for members; check out the details here!

It's going to be one merry Christmas for Xbox Live Gold members because not one but four new free games will be offered beginning December, Major Nelson reports. Gamers can enjoy two new games on Xbox One and another couple of games on Xbox 360 as part of the Games with Gold program.

Xbox One users who are also Xbox Live Gold members may download "The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing", which is currently priced at $14.99 absolutely free for the whole month of December while "Thief," which originally costs $29.99 may be downloaded completely free beginning December 16 up to January 15.

For Xbox 360 users, "Castlestorm", which costs $9.99, will be available for free download beginning Dec. 1 to 15 for Xbox Live Gold members. Come Dec. 16, Xbox Live Gold Members will gain free access to "Sacred 3" download, which originally costs $19.99. "Sacred 3" will only be available for free until Dec. 31. Additionally, Gold members can also download "Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising" for free beginning Dec. 16 to 31.

For those who are now just hearing about the freebies, IGN reports that the November Games with Gold promotion is currently ongoing, and gamers can still get their hands on "Pneuma: Breath of Life" for free until the end of the month. "Knight Squad" is currently available for free download until December 15.

"In 2015 alone, Xbox Live Gold members have saved over $1000 with Games with Gold on Xbox One and Xbox 360," Microsoft explained in a statement, according to Express. "It’s only getting better in 2016 now that Xbox One members get double the free games every month with Backward Compatibility."

The statement further reads, "With Xbox One Backward Compatibility play multiplayer with your friends no matter which console they’re on and enjoy Xbox 360 games with the advanced features of your Xbox One, including Game DVR, Screenshots, and in-home streaming to Windows 10."

For those who are not yet Xbox Live Gold members yet, Microsoft is holding a Black Friday limited time offer in which gamers can get their first month's membership for only $1. The paid subscription service features online gaming, private chat, matchmaking/smartmatch, party chat, and in-game voice communication to make the gaming experience even better for gamers. Gold members also have access to game recording and media sharing.
