"Grand Theft Auto 6" fans have been on quite an emotional rollercoaster after the first trailer arrived, only to find out it was fake. It did, however, spark talks about what's to come with "GTA 6," which release date is said to be sometime in 2018, as opposed to the original 2020 date, as per Inquisitr.

Crossmap reports that as for the leaked "fake" trailer, "Some fans were already suspecting this to be the case, as they had noticed various peculiar details in the trailer and some small inconsistencies that led them to question the legitimacy of the leak, and in the end not many people were surprised to find out that the trailer was not genuine. And as can be expected, that didn't actually drag down many fans' enthusiasms as most people remained highly interested in the game and are still actively discussing what might happen once it's released."

Meanwhile, rumors are circulating that real life couple Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes are to lend their voices for the main characters of the game, which is set to be exclusively made for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 only. Gosling was quoted by The Guardian as saying, "It was impossible to imagine [Drive] without having played GTA." The 2011 Nicolas Winding Refn directed film starred Gosling as a Hollywood stunt performer and getaway driver. Maybe he is indeed involved with "GTA 6", but no official word has come from the actor or Rockstar Games.

"GTA" co-writer Dan Houser spoke to The Guardian back in 2013, stating that "We're not holding anything back for the future. If you said to me now, go and design another GTA, I'd be like, 'Oh what the f--- am I going to do next?'"

"But hopefully, when the time comes, we will figure out what was good, what wasn't, and what could be improved with a bit of tech," he explained. "The reason the game is still vibrant and exciting 11 years after it went into 3D is because we haven't done that. We've gone all out on every version to try and make the absolute best game we could make at that time."

According to Tech Times, one of the improvements Rockstar Games was thinking of implementing in "GTA 6" is a map extension. Rockstar Games producer Leslie Benzies explained, "Of course at some point we would like to have one big world containing all our cities and let the player fly between them and revisit their favorite areas."

Rockstar Games' Houser also said they are looking to include a female character, so fans may be expecting a fresh face voiced by Mendez in the sixth iteration of "Grand Theft Auto", which hopefully hits stores in 2018.
