Apple MacBook Air is set to get a major makeover in its 2017 version as per what sources said.

The rumors have it that Apple MacBook Air 2017 will get a larger upgrade, unlike the 2016 update which will an optional RAM upgrade. Apple organized an event in April and then in October where Apple fans got disappointed as there was no major upgrade, however, if this rumor is true, the Apple MacBook Air 2017 will have a 32GB RAM and major price cut so that more people to purchase it.

Not much is known, for now, however, the probability for MacBook Air to get discontinued are brighter so that space could be allocated to new products. If MacBook Air gets an upgrade, it would be up to Intel Cannonlake processors to get reach on time as if it doesn't, mass production will get affected.

Ecumenical News in a report suggests that it could be a possibility that Apple MacBook Air might be discontinued as it has not received major upgrades since 2016. The MacBook Pros are the hot products on sale which are lighter and thinner than MacBook Air which could be one of the reasons.

The conclusion is if Apple has plans to discontinue MacBook Air, it will do so in coming days, and on the other hand, if MacBook Air undergoes major changes this coming year, it will release in the first half of 2017 probability in April as Apple organized major events at that point in time.
