Android Nougat 7.0 is the latest Android OS. Many high-end and mid-range smartphones have received their Nougat update. The latest smartphone to enter in the Nougat update league is Huawei Honor 8. The Glossy back panel smartphone is just too irresistible and with the latest update, it will be impeccable.

In order to receive Android Nougat 7.0 update that will be sent over-the-air, it will have to get certified by Huawei. Sources suggest that Huawei will roll out Android Nougat 7.0 along with its EMUI 5 and finally replacing its EMUI 4.1 and Android Marshmallow 6.0 with which it was rolled out this summer. The latest Android Update is no ordinary as it has a plethora of features that will enhance Honor 8's capabilities.

Huawei Honor 8 was launched last summer and it became the first smartphone sporting a dual-camera setup. The smartphone has a 12-megapixel camera with Leica-marked P9 lens. The smartphone has a 5.2" Full-HD 1,080x1,920 pixel display along with 4GB RAM and 32GB/64GB Internal Storage option. The Honor 8 have HiSilicon Kirin 950 SoC with Octa-core processor clocked at 4x2.3Ghz & 4x1.8Ghz and Mali-T880 MP4 GPU. It also has rear-mounted fingerprint scanner along with gyroscope, proximity sensor, and accelerometer to name a few, as stated by GSMArena.

Android Central escalates that the upcoming EMUI 5.0 update will have built-in App Drawer which was absent in EMUI 4.1. Similarly, the Android 7.0 has App Shortcuts, Doze Mode 2.0, and other features.

The Huawei Honor 8 will have a machine learning algorithm that can change the outlook on how people perceive a smartphone. Huawei Honor 8 will receive EMUI 5.0 and Android Nougat 7.0 update in February 2017 but there is no information whether it will roll out early or late in the given month.
