"Pokemon" has been a favorite since 1995 and even until now, kids and adults of today are still enjoying it. One living testament is how fans are committed to playing the app, "Pokemon Go." However, despite the fun it brings to its players, the app still needs an upgrade for is the limitation of smartphone hardware.

Usually, "Pokemon Go" requires its players to walk around and move. This is the hatching of eggs depend on the miles that the players have walked with the app opened. For the spawning to take place, the gamer should put the egg in its incubator while keeping the app open for registration purposes.

However, BGR reported that it seems like the Pokemon eggs don't really need its player to walk, instead, it can be played while sitting on their couch. The trick behind this lies on the user's GPS in the phone.

"Pokemon Go" players have noticed that the GPS tracking of the game has not only been that accurate and that it might even get worse, leading to what players are referring to as "GPS drift." This term is used for the inaccuracy of the phone's GPS system and turning it into in-game movement.

A recent Reddit thread contains players who are bragging about how easy it is for them to catch and hatch eggs. The GPS can't find me too well in my work building," one Reddit user says. "I sit at a different desk every day and some spots are great for walking me in circles."

Aside from this, some people also recognized that the achievement of GPS drift sometimes lies on their phones. Most users say that their Samsung devices, such as Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge are racking up fake steps while some say that their iPhone 5 works the same.

Although Niantic has provided a recent update, it's still unclear whether it has improved its GPS tracking as well. Many eggs still need to be hatched and this means that many steps should be taken as well.
