Kevin Fiege, President of Marvel Studios, has recently revealed information about the re-booted Spiderman movie.

Sony and Marvel recently announced that 19-year-old Tom Holland, from "The Impossibles," has been cast as the new Spiderman for the Marvel Studios reboot. Holland is noticeably much younger than Sony's two previous "Spiderman" actors, Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield.

Feige told the Los Angeles Times that casting the young actor was intentional.

He explains that a younger Spiderman is closer to the original Spiderman seen in the first comics of the hero created by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko.

"The one thing that hasn't been able to be explored in the other five ["Spiderman"] movies is his relationship to the broader Marvel Universe and that's something that was exciting to us," explains Feige.

"To go back to those Stan Lee, Steve Ditko origin tales of having him be younger and that dichotomy with dealing with the rest, and also in Brian Michael Bendis' Ultimate Spider-Man."

"That the younger he was...the more unique and different he would be in comparison to the other Marvel heroes," he adds.

According to Slash Film, it has previously been confirmed that Holland's portrayal of Spiderman will be set during Peter Parker's high school years.

Feige says the other five Spiderman films did not fully explore the younger Peter Parker, but Marvel's movie will.

In an interview with Birth.Movies.Death, Fiege says that the rebooted Spiderman will not only explore new villains, characters, or supporting characters, but different aspects of Peter Parker as well.

The mood of the film will follow that of the legendary 1980's writer/director John Hughes, which will add to the high school-vibe Marvel Studios seems to be going for in the Spiderman reboot.

John Hughes has contributed to films like "Sixteen Candles," "The Breakfast Club," and "Weird Science".

As for the main villains for the next Spidey film, Feige says that the webbed hero "has a deep bench of rogues" to choose from. He states that Marvel is looking for a villain that has not previously been introduced in the other Spiderman films.

In the same interview with Birth.Movies.Death, Feige also mentions a bit about Doctor Strange, saying that a clip from the end of "Ant-Man" eludes to the "weirdness" people will see in the Strange movie.

The new Spiderman movie is due to come out July 28, 2017, reports Techno Buffalo. According to the International Business Times, Jon Watts will direct the film, while Feige and Amy Pascal are set to produce it.
