It looks like the war between Floyd "Money" Mayweather Jr. and Manny "Pac-Man" Pacquaio has not yet ended with the lucrative fight on May 2, as rumors fly among boxing fans that a rematch is in the midst, possibly eight months from now.

Mail Online reports that the rumors could have possibly started after Pac-Man has questioned the results of the "fight of the century", saying he felt he has defeated Mayweather. He later revealed that he had a right shoulder injury during the fight. He was convinced he could have won easily if he was able to use both of his shoulders.

Bob Arum, Pac-Man's promoter, felt the same way. He said the match should have been a draw. In addition to four rounds, he said, the judges should have given round two and the last round to Pac-Man.

During the fight, Mayweather scored 116-112 and 118-110, giving him a unanimous win, and making him still the undefeated boxing champion of the world.

Sky Sports reports that the undefeated champion has mocked Pac-Man on Instagram over his shoulder injury, showing his disbelief that Pac-Man could have defeated him if he has good, working shoulders in a video. The viral video has shown Mayweather slapping a "dummy" and shouting "stop lying!" in the midst of a crowded gym.

It has been initially reported that Mayweather has offered a rematch, but later rescinded as he felt like Pac-Man just made up excuses regarding his injury, calling the Filipino boxer a "sore loser."

Pac-Man's trainer, Freddie Roach, has confirmed that Pacquiao will return to the ring after he has fully recovered from his shoulder injury, possibly eight months from now, Yibada reports.

The trainer has also hinted the possibility of a rematch with Mayweather and has named other viable contenders -- Lucas Matthysse, Kell Brook or Terence Crawford -- in case Mayweather doesn't agree to a rematch.

Brook's promoter, Eddie Hearn, says that the boxer is going to fight Brandon Rios in September and if he remains unbeaten, he will be Pac-Man's next contender. Hearn strongly believes that because Pac-Man is past his prime, Brook can easily beat the Filipino boxer.

However, Roach believes that Pac-Man still has game. He defends his trainee from his critics stating that Pac-Man is recovering from the shoulder injury. For preparation, he will go back to the basics to strengthen his core further.
