"If there's something strange in the neighborhood, who are you gonna call?" This line has been one of the most famous quotes during the '80s after the success of the cult-favorite sci-fi comedy "Ghostbusters" in 1984. The roles that Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Harold Ramis and Ernie Hudson played have catapulted them to stellar success and made them into household names.

After a failed sequel, the fans of the movie believe it will be the end of the crime fighting days of the gang aboard Dweeb's Van. However, after much speculations and rumors last year, an official statement from Paul Feig himself has revealed important details about the franchise reboot.

Screen Rant writes that a Ghostbuster Reboot is definitely in the works and will feature an all-female cast. Director Paul Feig has tapped Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones to take on the role of the four main characters everyone grew up with and loved. Feig has also announced on Twitter on July 17 and 19 the names of the characters each actress will be playing, creating a mass excitement for Twitter users and fans alike.

Comic Book adds that from all the names mentioned, Wiig will play Erin Gilbert;  McKinnon will be Jillian Holtzmann; McCathy as Abby Yates; and Jones will be known as Patty Tolan.

Slash Films also reports the names and roles that the supporting cast will play - from Andy Garcia who will play the mayor of the city to Michael K. Williams as Hawkins, Matt Walsh as Rouke, Chris Hemsworth as the new secretary for the Ghostbusters and writer Neil Casey as the villain. Aykroyd from the original film has also confirmed that he will be making a cameo in the reboot.

Not everyone is as excited with the reboot, but Fieg has taken the criticisms lightly on Twitter. When one fan questioned his decision, he just said "Tony Perkins told me I could."

Ghostbusters 3 Reboot will be shown in theaters on July 22, 2016.
