The Sony Xperia Z5 compact may just prove that size doesn't matter as it shows the tech world how much a person can get from the company's smaller flagship compact smartphone.

The Guardian reports that while everyone has been making their smartphones bigger in terms of screen sizes, Sony decided to sway away from the norm and started offering smaller compact phones but with the same camera capacity and processor. Just like its predecessor, the Sony Xperia Z5 compact promises to have what the Xperia Z3 compact gave its user and more.

1) Minimalist, smaller frame

Although the new Xperia Z5 compact has stepped back a little when it comes to the design and is extremely thicker than its brother the Sony Xperia Z5, it fits the palm perfectly. What more, the solid built, reachable power button and front speakers make it, without a doubt, the easiest compact smartphone to use.

2) Full specs & features

This phone also has full-on specs and hardware features, with an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor and running on Android 5.1.1 "Lollipop", 3G writes. It also has a 23MP rear camera, 5MP front camera and an exceptionally good battery life, lasting an average of 72.5 hours because of its 2900 mAh pack. Quick Charge 2.0 is also supported and it comes in a 32GB storage which can be extended by a microSD card slot.

3) Fingerprint scanner sensor

Under the home button lies a hidden fingerprint sensor that has been tried and tested to be one of the best in the market, The Guardian adds. Unfortunately, it is yet to be used on third-party apps but with the "Marshmallow" on its way, it will most likely change and become a standard recognition method.

4) Camera capacity

Geeky Gadgets reports that the 5MP of the Sony Xperia Z5 compact front camera is best to use for video calls and selfies while the back camera, which is 23MP, is the new flagship RS camera of the company. It can perform better even in low-light conditions, compared to other high-end competitions but the flash may need a few more tweaking.

5) Competitive price

The pre-ordering of the Sony Xperia Z5 compact starts at £450 and is available in yellow, pink, black and white. The price is cheaper than the 4.7 inch iPhone 6S, which is at around £540 but a little bit expensive than the 5.1 inch Samsung Galaxy S6, which starts at £400.
