Cortana is the friendly, digital assistant saw in Windows 10 and other Windows smartphones. It has been said that Microsoft will be launching the Cortana on the Xbox One and it will definitely change the way people use the game console, thus the aptly called “Xbox One Experience.” However, it looks like fans have to wait a little further because the latest announcement from Major Nelson, the Cortana will not appear in the Xbox One until next year.

Thankfully, there are now more invites for preview access being rolled out to help access and try the latest Xbox One experience and of course, new games will be shown on the Xbox Beta app seen on the Windows 10. Larry Hryb blogged that the Microsoft engineering team is doing their best to make the experience fast and socially interactive. Feedback from fans who have experienced the sneak peek were highly appreciated as these will be the fuel the company will use to enhance the experience further, Hryb adds.

Furthermore, Hryb writes that a few features have been added, like the party text chat, a new way to connect with friends; activity alert notifications to provide real-time advisory as to what is going on with friends and others; read and reply to messages from notifications which will be easier to manage because there is no need to click on the message; and lastly, an activity feed sharing, where people can share a friend’s activity.

Cortana can be compared to a hybrid of Scarlett Johansson’s role in “Her” and Apple’s “Siri”, reminding users of their daily tasks, traffic delays, stay connected with friends on the Xbox One, just like an assistant, Cinema Blend reports. Reports have stated that Cortana will be plugged in builds for the Xbox One experience.

PC Mag reports that the delay is a first for Microsoft regarding the integration of Cortana to the Xbox One. Speculations are flying that it may become a part of the update for the gaming console, which may arrive during Microsoft’s November event. The said the big event will also include several highly-anticipated improvements for the gaming console, such as more than 100 games, brand-new store, “Game Hubs”, and brand-new One Guide.

Even if there’s a delay in the release, fans can still expect more once the Xbox One bundles are unveiled just in time for the holiday season, Game Spot writes. Apparently, there are six new bundles to be released, which will include “Fallout 4” and “Rise of the Tomb Raider”.
