Apple cider vinegar (ACV) exhibits properties that can help in reducing the risk of diabetes, heart disease, and obesity. What more, it can also be used as a natural remedy for heartburn, acne, indigestion, and menstrual cramps. The only problem is, people are having difficulties drinking it because of it’s acidic and powerful flavor.

While adding ACV in evening tea may sound the best idea, wouldn’t it be better if it’s added in cocktails or mocktails then served at fall parties for everyone to enjoy? Besides being a fun way to encourage others to try ACV, it is also a great way to infuse it in alcoholic beverages to help people detox while partying. And alcohol, when taken in moderation, can be good for the heart, according to Medical Daily.

Here is a list of five apple cider vinegar cocktails and mocktails to try for detoxification, weight loss and fall parties.

MOCKTAIL: Pink Sunrise

Bread and With It recommends this delicious twist on serving ACV to your guests if you plan on hosting a Halloween party. There is no alcohol in this beverage and uses club soda to add a carbonated effect, which can be a good alternative for alcoholic drinks.

To make the drink, add a tablespoon of ACV to half a cup of grape juice fruit, half a cup of club soda and a tablespoon of honey. This is best served chilled or topped with ice.

COCKTAIL: Bee’s Knees

From Mind Body Green, this delicious concoction of vodka and lemon juice gives a twist to how you can encourage your guests to try ACV. If you don’t like alcohol, you can remove vodka from the ingredients and just replace it with club soda.

To make the drink, boil ACV, six tablespoons of honey and half a cup of water. Remove from heat before adding in six sprigs of thyme; let it steep. Strain and add two cups of lemon juice, two and a half cup of water, and four ounces of vodka (optional). Serve over ice for best results.

MOCKTAIL: Rock Island Banana

From Bread and With It comes another non-alcoholic beverage that combines ACV, banana and pineapple juice to add more antioxidant, fiber and potassium to your diet. Simply blend together a cup of pineapple juice, half a piece of a banana, half a cup of water and a spoonful of ACV with half a cup of ice. It will have the consistency of a slushy.

COCKTAIL: Fall Cider Sangria

Real Simple suggests combining a slice of apple, a slice of pear, a slice of orange, eight ounces of apple brandy, a bottle of white wine and 32 ounces of ACV in a large pitcher to create the ultimate healthy sangria for your guests. Let it chill for four hours up to a day before serving.

MOCKTAIL: Tart & Tangy Berry Shrub

Mark's Daily Apple shares an old-fashioned drink that can be both and healthy celebratory, even when you want to relax on your own. Simply mash two cups of very ripe berries with half a cup of ACV then let it stand for a day. Strain and add 12 pieces of fresh mint then add a few more berries to press and jumble at the bottom. Top with ice and Seltzer water.
