It's time to bring out the spirits this coming Halloween and create some amazing cocktails while the kids have gone Trick or Treating. Try out these incredible recipes during your next party with friends.

1.    Witch's Brew

No need to make fires burn and cauldrons bubble with this sinister drink taken from the Food Network.

For this recipe, you need lime-colored gelatin, boiling water, pineapple juice, lemon-lime flavored soda and vodka for an added kick. If you are running out of flavored soda, ginger ale also works nicely.

To create the ominous brew, pour the gelatin contents into a large bowl and slowly pour in the boiling water. Mix until the powder has been dissolved.

Pour in the juice, soda and vodka then leave to cool before serving. This recipe is enough for up to 16 people.

2.    Harvest Moon

This quick and easy recipe is plucked from the pages of Rolling Out. The recipe calls for vodka, Amaro Montenegro, lemon, honey, water, grapefruit bitters and some orange.

To make this heavenly drink, you just need to add the ingredients with some ice and shake. Strain the liquid onto your prepared glasses and garnish with a little orange zest and peel.

3.    Cider with heads

Scare your guests with this delightfully macabre recipe from Martha Stewart. See faces stare back at you while drinking this ghoulish concoction.

To create this cocktail, all you need are some Granny Smith apples, lemon juice, salt, cloves, apple cider, frozen lemonade concentrate and spiced rum for an added kick. A bit of time, patience and creativity is required in carving out the faces but the result is a drink that your guests will remember for years to come.

Each batch is enough to serve 30 guests.

4.    Bloody cocktail

Set the stage for a dark and spooky Halloween party with this crimson-hued cocktail created by The Chalkboard Mag. All you need is some whiskey, rose wine, rose syrup, some grapefruit juice, sparkling water and grapefruit peel or slices as garnish.

If you are unable to find rose syrup, you can make one yourself with The Chalkboard Mag's DIY recipes.

5.    Hyde's potion

Enjoy the party with your alter ego with this refreshing drink courtesy of HGTV. To create this fantastic brew, you need vodka, liquers, syrup, lemon juice, lavender sprigs and some blackberries.

Dry ice can be added to the mix to create the smoke effect. Take note that the dry ice has to dissolve completely before the guests can drink the cocktail.
