While it may be impossible to get the 3D Touch on a iPhone 6 screen without the screen technology, there are ways to activate it through jailbreaks, according to The Verge. To simulate the 3D Touch actions such as quick actions, peek and pop, jailbreaks Forcy, UniversalForce and Hapticle may be of use. Swipe up for shortcuts on the app and swipe up on photos for photo previews peek. The Forcy can take care of the app icons, UniversalForce can support it and Hapticle can put vibrations when the commands are triggered. These jailbreaks are for iOS 9 users only.

As for Live Photos, use the Live Photos Enabler tweak to overwrite the code by Apple to make it available for older iPhone models. However, the tweak may not always work as there have been reports that it can cause the phone to freeze or overheat.

An advertisement for iPhone 6s featuring the 3D Touch technology was recently released by Apple. The 30-second video shows users using Peek and Pop gestures to do a number of commands on their phones such as checking an Instagram post, looking at a restaurant map, checking a flight tracking numbers and so on. A tap gives a preview and a deeper press opens a new window to give a full view of the picture, play a video or song and many more. The actor Jamie Foxx also appears in a cameo which shows him using the 3D Touch to play songs on his latest album "Hollywood: A Story of a Dozen Roses."

"This is iPhone 6s. Not much has changed, except it feels different. Now you press lightly to peek and deeper to pop. It changes how easily you can peek a flight, check a post, search for dinner - ooh, you guys are going to love that place. You can find a getaway easier - Yeah, go there. And find music easier - wait, are you listening to your own song? So pretty much everything you do feels different and that's what's changed."

The ad closes with Apple's newest tagline "The only thing that's changed is everything." According to Techno Buffalo, the tagline is part of Apple's newest ad campaign as they showcase their newest products with new features in the market.
