"When can I get Marshmallow on my phone?" KnowYourMobile posted the query in an article amid excitement from the users of various devices of different make. Google and a number of manufacturers have already decided not to keep their loyal customers completely clueless on when and how they can get hold of the much anticipated Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

For Google Nexus, the upcoming new devices Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P will have the Marshmallow straight from the factory. The "factory image" download files, which guide users to manually install for the Nexus 5 (2013), Nexus 6 (2014), Nexus 7, Nexus 9, and the Nexus Player, has also been published by Google.

LG G4 will have the first Android 6.0 update, with users from Poland getting their update next week and soon to be followed by those from Europe, Asia and America. Rumors also have it that LG G2 and LG G Flex 2 could be getting their updates.

HTC's list of devices to receive a Marshmallow upgrade includes the One M9+, One E9 and One E9+, One E8, One M8 EYE, and the HTC Desire 826, 820, and 816, with One M8 and M9 to receive it earlier before the end of 2015.

Although, Samsung has yet to release an official confirmation for the updates, flagship devices like Note 5 and S6 should be expected. One source, according to KnowYourMobile, has heard that there will be an extensive plan for upgrade across different Samsung devices.

Meanwhile, in an article from CNET, the site has offered a quick how-to guide on clearing the app cache and app data. The Android Marshmallow has made it easier to do so with their addition of buttons, specifically for this purpose.

Caching is important because it stores pieces of information or data whenever you use or access apps or websites. This will lead to a shorter access time whenever you use the apps/websites again (or frequently). It helps in improving your app performance. However, these cached data can accumulate and consume available storage from your device. So, how do you clear app cache and data?

All you have to do is click the "Settings" icon, the one which resembles a gear or cog. Then look for the application in the "Apps" menu that you would want to clear the cache of. Now, click on "Storage" and it will reveal the button for you to clear the cache and app data.

Aside from the new app cache-clearing button, another update from the Marshmallow is the free and downloadable Custom Quick Settings, according to iafrica.com. This will give you the free hand to customize your shortcuts to the dropdown menu like apps and other settings. It also allows you to easily toggle between different features.
