In her new book, Khloe Kardashian shares that she almost quit the family-run reality show "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" in order to save her failing marriage to Lamar Odom.

In Khloe's new book "Strong Looks Better Naked," she detailed how she wanted to have time off from the show.

"At one point, I actually went to the producers and said I needed some time off from the show," Khloe said in her book, as reported by Hollywood Life.

She approached the producers who were shocked as she had never asked for a break in the 8 years of doing the show.

"I told her, 'Nothing. I just need some family time,'" Khloe explained. "But she knew. Any many others on the set suspected. How could they not? But I needed the time. I was living 90 percent of my life in front of the cameras, but the other 10 percent was and is scared."

Inquisitr reports that the rumors pertained to the marriage problems she was having with Odom. The site adds that the couple went through marital counseling but was unable to stay together. Khloe filed for divorce from Odom in Dec. 2013 but it was never finalized as a judge has yet to sign it.

Odom went through a crisis last month involving being found unconscious in a brothel in Nevada. Since the two are legally married, it enabled Khloe to oversee the medical decisions needed by her estranged spouse.

According to In Touch Weekly, Khloe has been offered a pay raise by mom Kris Jenner to spill deets on Lamar Odom on reality show, "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" (KUWTK).

"Kris knows that the interest in Lamar's crisis will be ratings gold and so she is promising Khloé a big bump in her payout," the site cites a source by Radar Online. "Khloé really wants the money, but she is not sure if she will go through with it or not. But Kris is really persuasive and if she wants it to happen then it will."

Sister Kim Kardashian is allegedly upset that the show will be focused on Khloe instead.

"Kim is mad that Khloé's storyline is going to be so prominent on the show. She wants the birth of her son to be the centerpiece and not Lamar's overdose. Kim's also jealous of Khloé getting more money," an insider said. "She's very competitive with all of her sisters and she likes being the one who gets paid the most, so she is mad at Kris right now."

KUWTK season 11 will be back on the E! Network on Nov. 15, Sunday at 9 p.m.
