Rumor has it that the highly-anticipated upcoming update for the phenomenal "Clash of Clans," a free MMO strategy game for both Android and iOS mobile devices, may not come sooner than what was expected.

Earlier predictions have pegged some time in November as a likely release date, but the update will most probably be in December, as reported in All Clash, because Supercell, the team behind Clash of Clans, admitted that the update is still in the works. The launch will take weeks but the fans can hope for more information soon.

Supercell, the game publisher and developer headquartered in Finland, has also laid out a scheduled maintenance break on Nov. 4 and Nov. 5. Clash of Clans is down for those cover periods for the purpose of removing a 1 Gem Boost for the Spell Factories upgrade from the game.

The Nov. 5 maintenance break was also scheduled for Supercell to work on the Frozen Live Replays issue, which many of the affected players have been complaining about. Hopefully, the temporary shutdown will be able to fix the issue on Live Replays which freezes the loading.

Supercell has also been teasing the COC fans with the new and exciting updates during the recently held ClashCon in October. The sneak peek from the event allowed us to get a glimpse of the update, which involves not just the much-awaited Town Hall 11 but also the new defensive building and a new offensive unit, according to Game Zone. It was also revealed that the plots of land will be getting more real estate for expansion. You can check out the YouTube video below for a closer look of some of the latest updates.

The teasers showed that Town Hall 11 will be sporting a brand-new look with level 11 lava-filled walls, instead of the previous electric blue walls. Game Zone also noted that the update also makes way for the building of 25 new Wall pieces, which would, definitely, put more excitement to the game as defensive and offensive strategies are expected to be a bit altered.

The new update will also include a gem mine that could generate more gems for the players, as per Neuro Gadget.  They also noted the possibility of finally allowing loot sharing among friends, which is still up to the developer. Another update to be anticipated is the emergence of a new hero, which is likely to be a mage judging its image holding a staff, Neuro Gadget also pointed out.
