The upcoming Marvel film "Thor 3: Ragnarok" is going to be the biggest Thor movie to date. This bold pronouncement came from no less than Stan Lee himself, the American comic book writer extraordinaire who is one of the creators of the widely popular Marvel characters like Spider-man, Hulk, Iron Man, X-Men and Thor, among the many others.

The 92-year-old Lee has just revealed some fresh and exciting details on the new Thor movie, which is set to be released in cinemas on July 28, 2017. For starters, there are two new characters to watch out for. Marvel Studios are currently in the lookout for a couple of actors for the roles and, judging from Lee's post in his blog "TheRealStanLee", two actresses are set to join the cast for Ragnarok.

While one of the two characters has yet to be confirmed with Lee only revealing that "she" is someone who is going to be pretty dangerous, the other role to be filled up is that of the character of Valkyrie.

"The Valkyrie has been around since the 70s and is a key character in Thor mythos. The Asgardian was selected by Odin to be the leader of the Valkyrior, a group of warrior goddesses who were originally responsible for delivering dying warriors to Valhalla," Stan Lee said on his blog post. "In the comics Valkyrie, a.k.a. Brunnhilde, is one of Thor's allies on Asgard, but her exact role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe has not yet been revealed."

Since Valkyrie seems like the friendly new character, it only makes sense that the other is the hostile one. And Lee, admittedly, said that the new Thor film will be introducing a new supervillain to the marvel cinematic universe.

The two characters which are more likely to be the new female villain are Amora the Enchantress and Hela the Queen of Dead, which are both connected to the character of Loki. Amora was created by Thor's adoptive brother to help him with his evil schemes while Hela came from Loki's early incarnation and is very much capable of killing Thor.

Although, the mighty Asgardian is going to have his hands full, the fans need not worry because a very reliable reinforcement is going to back him up. The incredible Hulk will be there to give him a hand --- that is, of course, after the two can figure out how to control themselves from going after one another. Mark Ruffalo's character is set to have a meetup with his Avenger teammate on some strange distant planet that is neither Earth nor Asgard, the MoviePilot noted.
