It seems like there is no conquering all the major gaming platforms for "Minecraft," after all. Just less than a week after we reported here that this sandbox adventure/survival game will, in all likelihood, make its debut for its Nintendo Wii U edition, things are seemingly making a reverse turn all of a sudden.

While we made it clear that Nintendo, "Minecraft" developer Mojang and its mother company and the game's publisher, Microsoft (which acquired Mojang and its ownership of Minecraft for $2.5 billion back in September 2014), have not made any official announcement on the release details, the European ratings board PEGI has listed and rated the game, which is pretty much a good indication of its possible release.

"The content of this game is suitable for persons aged 7 years and over only. It contains non-realistic looking violence towards fantasy characters," according to the PEGI website. "Pictures or sounds likely to be scary to young children. Non-realistic looking violence towards characters which although human is not very detailed."

And now, the listing entry on the website was nowhere to be found. This has somehow taken out that glimmer of hope for the fans who would want to see the game in a Nintendo Wii U platform, according to Wired,co.uk.

The previous link to the PEGI site where the "Minecraft" Nintendo Wii U edition was given a rating, now leads to the other ratings for the different episodes of "Minecraft: Story Mode," such as "The Order of the Stone" (episode 1), "Assembly Required" (episode 2) and "The Last Place You Look" (episode 3). "Minecraft: Story Mode" is an episodic adventure video game developed by Telltale Games and Mojang and was recently released in October for various platforms.

As of now, there are no details yet on why the listing was removed. Wired.co.uk tried to ask Nintendo for some clarifications but has yet to get a response. So, it was either a case of Nintendo asking PEGI to remove the information for the meantime until they can come up with some concrete developments on the game or the Japanese electronics and gaming company just decided to ditch the game, altogether.

Minecraft, which is now one of the best-selling video games in history, is currently available in gaming platforms like PlayStation, Xbox, Windows phone, Android and iOS, Windows, Linux and OS X. The launch of the popular videogame in Nintendo Wii U could have completed its conquest of the major consoles today.
