A lot of gibes and vitriolic jabs has been thrown against Ronda Rousey on the aftermath of her rousing and highly unthought-of loss to undefeated American MMA fighter Holly Holm. Not the least from a long list of fans and celebrities who take a shot at Rousey publicly were Laila Ali, Lady Gaga and Donald Trump.

Rousey had to relinquish her title as the UFC Women's Bantamweight Champion to Holm after the UFC 193 matchup last Nov. 15 at the Etihad Stadium in Melbourne, Australia. But in a true sense of showing class act in a sport known for its competitiveness and unrelenting nature, Holm was also one of the people to come to Ronda's defense.

"I think people can be pretty brutal. And when you're in the spot she's in, there are people that are just going to jump ship, and I don't ever wish for that," she told TMZ Sports in an interview.

"Ronda's been a very dominant champ and she's taken the sport to new levels. This fight wouldn't've happened if she hadn't accomplished what she's accomplished, so I have a lot of respect for her."

A lot of fans were already expecting a fierce battle inside the octagon for the UFC 193 because of a heated confrontation during the fight's weigh-ins. Ronda even tried to trash-talk Holm via Instagram, according to US Magazine.

She wrote: "Fake ass cheap shotting fake respect fake humility bitch - "preacher's daughter" my ass - I see through your fake sweet act now - you're getting your ass kicked tomorrow, and I'm really going to enjoy the beating I give you #andSTILL. And, during the fight Rousey also refused to touch gloves with Holm before the first round started.

Meanwhile, Holm was not the only unlikely person from whom Rousey is getting sympathy from. Undefeated American boxer Floyd Mayweather, unexpectedly, also has some nice words to say about Rousey. The two have been at odds with each other and have been publicly lashing out their disapproval to one another.

Mayweather said that it is not cool how people have been trolling the previously undefeated MMA star in the social media. He believes that Rousey is a strong person and that she will bounce back from this defeat, ESPN wrote.

"I think that everything is just a learning experience. In due time, she'll be able to bounce back and make some noise again in mixed martial arts," he said.
