Sega is on a roll this week as it announced two important news for fans of its strategy RPG franchise, "Valkyria Chronicles."

Sega announced that their hit 2008 RPG game will be making its way to PS4 in HD and aptly named, "Valkyria Chronicles Remaster." According to Engadget, the remaster is set to be released on Feb. 10, 2016, in Japan for 4,990 yen and will feature HD content, DLC and trophies. Alongside it will be the release of a demo for "Valkyria: Azure Revolution" a new game for the franchise, reports Gematsu.

"Valkyria: Azure Revolution" will be playable in PS4 and will come to Japan in 2016. The details of the game were first posted in the Japanese gaming site, Famitsu.

We have come to know from the translated text published by Gematsu that protagonist's name is Amleth, A Jutland Kingdom commanding officer of the Anti-Valkyria Unit. Other characters revealed so far ar Princess Ophelia and Brynhildr, a Valkyria and an antagonist.

The prologue of the game is set where the big Rus Empire is expanding its territories because of its discovery of Ragnite. Thanks to this mineral, the kingdom has advanced through the industrial revolution and economically threatens the small country of Jutland that fights for "independence and freedom."

The game is developed by Media Vision, directed by Takeshi Ozawa and produced by Youichi Shimosato. It was revealed in a recent interview that the game makers wanted to introduce something new to the franchise while having it remain as an RPG.

"We wanted to do something new using Valkyria, and one of the things we're putting in is a real-time system. Initially, we were considering real-time strategy, but we went with an RPG because we think that's what more users will want to play," Ozawa said in an interview with Weekly Famitsu.

The director adds that the new game is completely different because of the mineral Ragnite which has magical properties on top of being a resource.

"It's completely different (from Valkyria Chronicles). This time, the key item known as Ragnite is not just used as an energy resource, but also has magical aspects. Valkyria are supernatural compared to humans, beings considered close to gods."

Chief producer Shimosato adds that the new game is part of the "Revolution" series by its title and wants it to be differentiated from "Battlefield" games. The translator helpfully noted that "Valkyria Chronicles in Japan in literally called "Valkyria of the Battlefield."

At the end of the interview, Shimosato addressed the fans and revealed that the game music will be made by a famous composer. Ozawa took over and announced that while the new game is part of the franchise, gamers should play and enjoy the game as "a new series."
