Just because it is not enough that these two beloved classic shoes already share the very same midsole design, Nike decided to play with our eyes even more with the Air Jordan IV and the Nike Air Flight '89 getting more and more like a deadringer of each other.

The American footwear and sports apparel giant released the new version of Nike Air Flight '89 in a classic Bred theme inspired by the same color scheme from the Air Jordan IV, according to Sneaker Bar Detroit.

The new Air Flight features a majority black color body with the bigger Nike swoosh symbol in grey shade. There are also some noticeable hints of red particularly in the upper tongue portion of the shoe where the word "Flight" is imprinted; at the back where the "Nike Air" and  smaller swoosh symbol can be found; and at the front and rear portion of the rubber outsoles.

Now, this pair of classic 1989 Nike Basketball shoes will only be more closely associated with one another. "The less educated sneaker heads may think that the Flight '89 is just a rip-off or poor man's version of the Air Jordan, but the rest of us know that it's so much more," Sneaker News wrote in its website.

The Nike Air Flight 89 is a classic basketball sneaker, which was originally released back in 1989, and came to the consciousness of most sneaker heads as that shoe with the same midsole as the Air Jordan IV. It was the first shoe model from the Nike Flight line, says Nice Kicks. The popularity of the shoes rose quickly when NBA greats, such as Chicago Bulls' star forward Scottie Pippen and 1993 Most Valuable Player Charles Barkley, were seen wearing the Flight 89s.

The Nike Air Flight 89's distinguishing features include a leather or nubuck upper, plastic lacing accents, Nike Air units in the heel and forefoot, piping details, and a rubber outsole with herringbone pattern, according to Sneaker Head. The Flight 89 shoes are also available in both the mid-cut form that we see in retro style these days and, as well as, in the high top cut.

Apart from the Bred color scheme, it also comes in various themes, such as the triple black, exotic leather, white/dark concord-hyper jade, black/white-deep royal, poison green/grey and red python. The "Bred" Air Flight '89 is now available at retailers like Shelf Life.
