Samsung Galaxy S7 might get a lot of new features, but fans might be displeased to know that rumors say that its design is something that's already been done before.

The Samsung Galaxy S7 will look similar design-wise to the Galaxy S6. However, the new flagship phone has been beefed up with new and better specs.

"As the S6 and S6 Edge represented progress, the S7 will have improvements both in picture quality, performance and other some new features. But because smartphones have already been commoditized, you don't need to spend more on a surface overhaul," a source told The Korea Times. "The key point is can consumers enjoy content with enhanced viewing quality and boosted processing speed."

Samsung has not denied or confirmed the specs, designs and anything about the phone, not even an official statement.

According to Yahoo, the Galaxy S7 might be unveiled at the MWC mobile expo in Barcelona, Spain, which is contrary to rumors that it might be unveiled on the first half of 2016 at CES. The outlet believes that an early Jan. launch might disrupt the company's sales on Galaxy S6 and Galaxy Note 5.

However, a Korea Times source believes the venue is not yet known: "The venue for unveiling new Galaxy smartphone, tentatively named the Galaxy S7, is still undecided. Though Samsung has so far been preferred to hold its own Unpacked event for new products, the S7 will get a little change."

Tech Radar reports that the Galaxy S7 might be built with metal and glass and will have a bigger screen than Galaxy S6's 5.7-inch screen. It is rumored that the phone will be made with a magnesium alloy to make it lighter but stronger than its predecessors.

There have been rumors that there will be two screen sizes available for the anticipated flagship phone and one of them might have a 4K display. It might also have a flexible curved screen as the Korean company apparently has made orders from Taiwan manufacturers for the display screen.

Samsung might also take a leaf out of Apple's book by coming up with something similar to the American company's ClearForce technology.

Samsung has a new BRITECELL camera which is reportedly better than the ones on the Galaxy S6. It is unclear if the S7 will come with it. However, another rumor states that the S7 might have a 16 MP rear and 5 MP camera. With the launch of the Android Marshmallow, it will be likely that the new phone will come with it out of the box as well.
