During the 2015 PlayStation Experience event over the weekend, Sony revealed key details about the PlayStation VR and what games it could play.

There is no definite date for the release of the PS VR but from the weekend event, it seems it's heading for a 2016 release, specifically the first half of next year. According to Slash Gear, there were eight game titles revealed for the VR gaming headset during the event. Some of the games are "remakes" or remastered versions of old classics. Some of these games are originally made for PS4 but have PS VR support.

The games include:

1.) "Rez Infinite"

2.) "100ft Robot Golf"

3.) "Eagle Flight"

4.) "Golem"

5.) "Ace Combat 7"

6.) "The Modern Zombie Taxi Co."

7.) "Job Simulator"

8.) "Dead Secret"

According to the outlet, there are no release dates for the games yet, but it will surely come out in the same year the VR headset device does.

The PS VR will be more than just a gaming device, but Sony will be revealing what they are by next year as well as other details pertaining to the headset.

"These things we are not able to show as yet. We are working hard to prepare for the reveal of these features that we haven't been able to talk about [for] PlayStation VR," Sony president of Worldwide Studios Shuhei Yoshida told GameSpot. "as well as of course pricing and release date and what do you get when you buy the system."

It is unknown how much the device is going to cost seeing as it is a new device with many unknown potentials.

"What we haven't been showing is the 'what else,'" Yoshida explained. "Because it's a new system, people are looking forward to know, other than playing VR games, what they can do with PS VR when they purchase it."

With the coming of the PS VR, the PS4 might become the best-selling console, according to the International Business Times. Sony revealed that there have been more than 30 million dollars in sales for the device and part of it was because of the Chinese market.

According to Andrew House, president and CEO of Sony, the Black Friday sales broke their records and it may even top the PS2 sales record because of the renewed appeal brought about by the upcoming gaming headset.

Gaming Bolt shares that there might be problems if the VR costs more than the console.

"The biggest hurdle in VR headsets gaining popularity is that the experience is almost impossible to describe with words or pictures. Therefore traditional marketing is quite difficult, as consumers are not able to figure out what the experience is all about," said Ville Kivistö, CEO of Mindfield Games.
