Nintendo has all but completely revealed the details on one of the most exciting characters to ever do a crossing over into the "Super Smash Bros" realm. This popular fighting video game developed by Sora Ltd. and Bandai Namco Games is available for both the 3DS and the Wii U gaming consoles.

"Final Fantasy VII" main protagonist Cloud Strife was confirmed to be the latest DLC character for the video game and he will also be bringing along with him an all-new arena, which will be named the Midgar Stage.

But, so far, looking at the SmashBros official site has revealed nothing on the date of availability for Cloud and the Midgar Stage. The cost of download for both 3DS and Wii U is also unavailable as of yet. Cloud Stride will be following the footsteps of other characters who have made it to the smashing game lately like Lucas, the boy with psychic powers from Shigesato Itoi's and Nintendo's "Mother" series; Roy, the Young Lion, also from Nintendo; and Ryu from Capcom U.S.A.'s "Street Fighter."

And, with the latest announcement by Nintendo on Wednesday that it will be having its "Super Smash Bros. 4" livestream on Dec. 15 at 2 p.m. PT, smasher fans were already speculating that the event would not only give away the updates on the FF7-related DLC but also take the opportunity to reveal other characters, particularly those chosen by the fans.

"Catch the final video presentation dedicated to 'Super Smash Bros.' for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U on Dec. 15 at 2 p.m. PT. Masahiro Sakurai will provide details on Cloud and more in this worldwide broadcast," Nintendo of America wrote on their Twitter post regarding the livestream streaming event. Fans who are out to get the biggest scoop to be announced can go to Nintendo's Twitch channel or at Nintendo's website to witness the livestream.

Other DLC possibilities to be unveiled during the upcoming livestream event are new characters that were chosen by the fans in an online poll conducted last October, Polygon reported. Earlier this year, Nintendo announced at the Nintendo Direct presentation that fans can submit their choice of characters they would want to see in the video game.
