Both of the legions of fans of the PS4 and Xbox One can go on for days explicating on how each of their favorite gaming console one-up the other. But, in the end, it could all simply boil down on personal preference, especially when it comes to distinctive features and in the game exclusives department. And, for all we know, the two consoles' successors have already made their way to the shelves of some gaming store and the two camps could still going at it on their PS4 vs Xbox One debate.

And, speaking of the heir apparent for PS4 and Xbox One, it is possible that we could be looking at an earlier than expected release for the Xbox Two, notes Expert Reviews.

But, while the Sony PlayStation has somehow managed to have almost a six-year window between its release of consoles, it is, on the other hand, still hard to tell exactly 1when it comes to the Xbox. The first gaming console of Microsoft, the Xbox, came in 2001 and was followed by the Xbox 360 four years later in 2005. Well, the latest gaming platform, the Xbox One as we know it, was launched 8 years after the Xbox 360.

And, since the PS4 was released back in 2013, same goes for the Xbox One, and following the six-year release window, we could be looking at a PS5 release date sometime in 2019 or just a little later. Now, here is where it gets a bit tricky for the Xbox Two release. Will Microsoft launch the gaming platform ahead of the competition or just wait for another simultaneous release?

According to Expert Reviews, it could be better for Microsoft not to launch earlier as many buyers would probably be waiting for the PS5 for comparison, in the first place. But, if Xbox One could only deliver a tempting offer with their Xbox Two with significant upgrades, then that would have to be another story.

And, these significant upgrades may come on the form of VR gaming and a 4K-resolution. For instance, the Oculus Rift could also come with an Xbox One controller. Another update could also include complete backwards compatibility and the AMD hardware specs capable of supporting a VR compatible console, wrote Day Herald.

If Microsoft can also have it all figured out, a disc-less gaming platform could be the standard come the next generation. Physical discs could be a thing of the past with the onset of digital downloads and streaming of games. The price of the Xbox Two would, therefore, be hard to predict for the moment as we can't be sure if what kind of hardware is going to be built and the technology that will come along with it in 2019.
