The highly anticipated "Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens" have just hit the big screen, but as early as now, Screen Rant reports that Disney is already busy planning for the next installment of the "Star Wars" trilogy, "Star Wars: Episode VIII," directed by Rian Johnson.

According to the news outlet, Johnson has already shot some sequences in Ireland, which means that most probably, the "Star Wars: Episode VIII" cast have read or taken a glimpse of the screenplay. New "Star Wars" cast Daisy Ridley sat down with Variety to talk about her experiences in filming "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" and also teased readers on what's to expect for the sequel.

"It’s very good; very good. Let’s see 'VII' first and then we’ll talk about 'VIII,'" Ridley said with regards to the story, which was also written by Johnson.

Screen Rant notes that this praise from Ridley, even during the early stages of the filming, is a good sign to what "Star Wars: Episode VIII" could offer. The publication also states that being the second installment in the trilogy, this will be "darker" than "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" and the story will need to pushed through.

Joshnson will be under a lot of pressure as much is expected for the next "Star Wars" sequel after J.J. Abrams' critically acclaimed "Star Wars: The Force Awakens." Even though the current "Star Wars" installment already disclosed a number of revelations, there is still a lot of things that Johnson can explore for "Star Wars: Episode VIII," and he is someone who is capable of such fear. Screen Rant notes that Johnson has a rich experience in directing hits on the big screen and small screen. He has directed some hit episodes of "Breaking Bad" as well as science fiction drama "Looper."

Meanwhile, Ridley shared to Variety her experience on being one of the cast members of "Star Wars." She discussed her character, Rey, and what relates her to the character, saying "Her hopefulness. I think that was something driving me through the auditions — even though it felt so insanely out of anything that I could’ve imagined, there was something inside of me that was telling me that I could do it, even though I was riddled with doubts and insecurities. "

The young actress also shared what happened during the last day of filming for "Star Wars: The Force Awakens," revealing that there were quite a few tears and even Harrison Ford giving an "amazing speech" to wrap up their last day.

"Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens" is currently showing in theaters while "Star Wars: Episode VIII" is slated for a May 26, 2017 release.
