Apple's chief design officer Jony Ive shed light on the company's design studio plans on "60 Minutes" Sunday night, but what struck with some viewers was that the feature may have accidentally revealed the newest MacBook Air or MacBook Pro. Both devices are expected to be out with new models in 2016.

Cult of Mac reported that as Ive sat down in front of the camera, a MacBook was noticeable in his background. Observers note that this device looked a lot different than what is already in the market, prompting Apple fans to assume that Ive may have either accidentally or purposely shown what the world should expect about next year's notebook releases.

The MacBook appeared to bigger than the newly-released 12-inch MacBook, but it is also looked thinner than the 15-inch MacBook Pro. The device's bezel also had a thinner margin, which fits the description of the specs of the rumored 15-inch MacBook Air, per Tech Insider. There have been early speculations that company is going to make more announcements about this particular model by March 2016.

However, Tech Insider was able to speak with an Apple spokesperson who said that the MacBook in the background is actually the 12-inch version. The camera's blurred focus and angle could have distorted the device's appearance in the interview.

Check out the device in the "60 Minutes" interview:

Meanwhile, Latinos Post reported that the upcoming MacBook Air and MacBook Pro will both have 13-inch and 15-inch displays. Their specifications also have little differences as the notebooks will carry Intel Skylake-U processor, the latest OS X El Capitan and an improved battery life. Both models will also be featured with Force Touch technology and Type-C USB port. The glaring difference between MacBook Air and MacBook Pro 2016 releases, aside from the thinner design for the Air, will likely be in the RAM, with the Pro having the faster capability.

While MacBook announcements are anticipated by March next year, the devices' actual releases are reportedly not going to happen until June 2016 or during the annual Worldwide Developers Conference in San Francisco, according to MacRumors.

The company admitted in the "60 Minutes" interview that it cleverly spaces the timing of the releases of their products. "The iPhone has to become so great that you don't know why you want an iPad. The iPad has to be so great that you don't know why you want a notebook. The notebook has to be so great, you don't know why you want a desktop," said Apple executive Phil Schiller.
