Among the struggles most women face is shedding the extra pounds. However, Christina Aguilera was successful in doing so and she debuted her slimmer and sexier frame on her 35th birthday.

According to CelebrityHealthFitness, the "I Turn To You" singer turned 35 on Dec. 18 and she showcased her 46-pound low-carb weight loss on Instagram. After giving birth to daughter Summer Rain in August 2014 and son, Max, in 2008, Aguilera is slim again.

For those wondering how the "Genie In A Bottle" songstress shed the extra 46 pounds in just three months, she changed her diet and worked out, Examiner reported.

"She lost 46 pounds from changing her diet and working with a personal chef," an insider told the publication. "Christina has hired a trainer and is really dedicated to getting thin again."

The "Lady Marmalade" singer lost 35 pounds in 2013 by following a low-carb diet that featured lean proteins such as chicken or fish. Some examples of low carb diets include the ketogenic, Atkins and Paleo diets.

Aside from this, the celebrity mom's weight loss was attributed to yoga workouts. Yoga promotes weight loss by reducing stress, building lean muscles and suppressing appetite per Mandy Ingber, Jennifer Aniston's yoga teacher. Ingber does yoga with the "Cake" star three times a week and is the author of "Yogalosopy."

On May 2008, Aguilera lost 40 pounds, four months after giving birth to son Max by combining cardio workouts and weight-lifting for 90 minutes a day, five days a week and following a low-carb diet.

Per the report, Aguilera's weight has fluctuated over the years and the "Candyman" singer was viciously fat-shamed after gaining a significant amount of weight in 2010. She lost the extra weight in 2013 and made countless headlines for a jaw-dropping weight loss.

Aguilera told Extra TV that her weight loss was due to "Laughter, happiness, breathing, and I did some yoga." She also found fun ways to workout. "I have these paintball guns, and we're just blowing off steam. It's so much fun."

The mean feedbacks over her extra weight did not affect Aguilera much. She disclosed that she had learned to ignore weight bullying because she embraced her body no matter what her weight or size is. "I have a boyfriend that loves my body," said the "The Voice" coach. "I love my body, my son is healthy and happy and that is all that matters."

Aguilera is not a workout fanatic, but she started to appreciate its effects on her health and energy. She revealed that regular exercise made her more confident. "I exercise because it makes me feel good," she said.
