Tom Clancy's “The Division” underwent a closed alpha test and the players who are privileged enough to play it have signed an agreement with game maker Ubisoft, stating that they will not leak any photo or video footage of the game. However, it seems that some who said “yes” to that non-disclosure agreement actually meant “no.”

Gamepur reported that a certain alpha tester has posted a 40-minute worth of leaked gameplay video footage on the internet, violating that said agreement.

Eurogamer reported that the extensive set of video footage showed the game's snowy post-apocalyptic world, how encounters with other players go and a look at the game's character selection.

Earlier, Parent Herald reported that Ubisoft decided to hold the Xbox One-exclusive closed alpha this month and pushed the closed beta to an “early 2016” schedule.

Alpha testers were those who preordered the game and were then invited by the game developer. Ubisoft said that alpha testers will be giving them insightful information that they need to finely tune the game's infrastructure, as well as the game itself.

However, it seems that players would want to bring home the bacon too and posted the videos.

The leaked footage was captured by one of the closed alpha users. This was the most expansive version so far, and has included more than the Dark Zone PvP areas that have been previously shown.

Should Ubisoft take down all the YouTube videos, mirror links can be found here.

In another nonviolating news, IGN had an interview with “The Division” associate creative director Julian Gerighty and has asked for some information that players and “The Division” hopefuls alike would want to know

The game has been labeled as an RPG of some sort. Gerighty clarified: “The key to our RPG experience are the choices around weapons, skills, talents and mods." This new game stands out from all Tom Clancy games because of the player's own decisions to build his/her character into the role that he/she wants, like a sniper or a team healer/medic.

For those curious about the Dark Zone, Gerighty said that it is “where you will be competing at the highest level for the best equipment in the game, not only against the factions but also against other players.” That will be exciting.

Regarding endings, Gerighty said that “the game was never built to have a final end credit roll type of sequence,” however, it does have a conclusion. Players will have to find that out for themselves.
