Jennifer Lopez is kicking off the new year and her two-year Las Vegas residency with 10 pounds less, all thanks to a 100-percent vegan diet, Examiner reports.

According to the news outlet, the "Let's Get Loud" diva revealed that she went through a 100-percent vegan diet for a duration of five weeks, and the results were amazing.

“Since I had the babies six years ago, I had that really stubborn 8 to 10 pounds on me. People are used to seeing me be kind of thickish, but when I started eating [vegan], right away I dropped about 8-10 pounds," JLo told the publication.

The celebrity mom also shared to Examiner that apart from losing weight, her vegan diet was a "real challenge" but it made her feel amazing. She said, "I felt better and people were like, ‘Your energy’s better.'"

However, it's not only JLo who's going on a vegan meal plan as the singer has also reportedly put her whole family, including her twins Max and Emme and her sister Linda, in a plant-based diet.

Talking to Hollywood Life, Lopez said, "With my son and daughter, I try to teach them the right things to eat: a lot of greens, fruits and grains. They’re starting to learn that’s a way of life. When they ask me why I exercise, I say, ‘So I can maintain a good weight and run around with you.'"

Examiner noted that Lopez and her family's 100-percent plant-based diet mainly consists of greens, seeds and nuts. For dairy, the former "The Voice" coach replaced cow milk with almond milk and dairy cheese with vegan cheese.

“Even if you’re 70 to 80 percent vegan, it’s so much better having those vegetables, greens, and plant-based stuff. It’s going to change your life and health," JLo told the news outlet.

Currently, the diva has already a small dose of protein into her diet, but still prefers to eat more greens and vegetables. But JLo's physique is not only due to going vegan, but working out as well, per Examiner.

Celebrity Health Fitness shares that JLo follows the Tracy Anderson Method, which features a combination of light strength training that uses body weight and repetitive tiny hand weights as well as hight-intensity cardio dance exercises.

JLo also revealed to Hollywood Life her discipline in working out, saying, "Very rarely will I skip my workout. Sometimes I work too late the night before and I’m like, ‘Ugh, I can’t do this.’ But I tell myself, ‘Just do it. It’s only an hour.’ It’s just talking yourself off the ledge of being a lazy bum.”
