A lot of fans from the "Fallout" video game series were on cloud nine upon the release of the latest installment, the "Fallout 4," last year. But, not all came away impressed with the new video game.

Some critics have frowned upon the seemingly lack of initiative on the part of Bethesda to deviate from their usual formula when it comes to some parts of the gameplay in its video games, which some said has also been the very reason why some of the complaints from players were carried over from one generation of a video game to the next.

"Take the combat in The Elder Scrolls- it has always been terrible, but as Bethesda moved away from the old, stat driven nature of their previous titles to a more real-time, action-oriented approach, its shortcomings became glaring flaws, best exemplified by the vast gulf in combat quality between 2011's Skyrim, and Dark Souls, which launched the same year," wrote Gaming Bolt.

The video game site added that the combat aspect of the game needs some fixing and it would be better if Bethesda would take inspiration from other great action role-playing video games, such as FromSoftware's "Bloodborne."

And, one of the best ways to probably give it a new touch is to create new types of weaponry. Bethesda should inject a fresh blood to its combat gameplay with novel and inventive implements for attacking that also gives some form of variety to the existing weapon system.

As of yet, there is still no official word when it comes to the release date of the new "Elder Scrolls" title, but one of the latest rumors to have come out of the mill was courtesy of an article from Pop Herald several days ago with the headline "'The Elder Scrolls 6: Skyrim 2' Is Latest Leaked Title!"

However, according to MNR Daily, this speculation about one of the most hyped-about games in Bethesda's stable could be highly improbable. "This piece coming from a Pop Herald article titled "Skyrim 2" gives false hopes to people about the game," the site says.

"There's no assurance that the game will indeed be a direct sequel to "Skyrim" or if it will be set in some other place," it added.

Meanwhile, Bethesda is also reportedly working on another spin-off from the franchise and will be known as the "Elder Scrolls Legends." According to reports, it will be a digital card game and likely to be launched this 2016.
