While many of the iPhone users take great pleasure from owning their precious device from the Cupertino-based tech company and feel proud of being part of the exclusive clique of Apple users, iPhones are not exactly without flaws.

And, one of the departments that it has been playing catch-up on with other major smartphone makers in the market today is the battery section. And, while Apple has yet to come up with something that will make iPhones a leader in its class in terms of battery, it's good to know that you can, actually, do something about it for the meantime. Here are some of the iPhone hacks to help you increase the life of your battery.

Make Use of the Low Power Mode Option

While this seems a given, there are a lot of users who are not aware that they can choose the low power mode at any time, and not just wait for their phones to enable it by itself when the power goes down to 20 percent and lower, according to BGR. Simply, go to Settings > Battery > Low Power Mode and slide the toggle to on.

Don't Let Your Phone Track You

In order for your phone to give you your location whenever you feel like letting your friends know where you have been hanging out lately, it has to track you all the time and take account of the places you have been to. This requires extra power. You can choose to disable this by going to Settings > Privacy > Location Services, then scroll down until you see "Frequent Locations," tap on it, and disable it.

Turn off Those App Auto Updates

While these app updates are necessary and done from time to time in order to update your apps and provide bug fixes, you also have the option to do it manually, says Cambio. Just go to Settings > General > Background App Refresh.

Turn off WiFi and Bluetooth When Not in Use

These two features drains a lot of power from your phone battery. So, it's just fitting that you disable them when you aren't using them to save power. Cambio also recommends switching your phone to Airplane Mode whenever you encounter a bad signal for your cell service.

Cut Back On Your Phone's Brightness

The more light your phone emits, then you should expect more power from your battery out the window. make sure to adjust your display's brightness based on your surroundings. You can disable the "Auto Brightness" and choose the manual setting. Just go to Settings> Wallpapers & Brightness.

Turn Off Parallax and Dynamic Wallpapers

These features help in draining your battery fast. "Go to Settings, >Wallpapers, then click on your current wallpaper. Disable "Perspective Zoom", and you will be officially un-Parallaxed," says The Thrillist.

Disable Photostream Auto Uploads

While this feature is helpful in ensuring your photos are safely uploaded and sent to your iOS devices, it can take up some battery. You can head to Settings, >iCloud, >Photos, and deselect "My Photo Stream".
