"The Walking Dead" star Lauren Cohan teased about her character, Maggie, and explained whether her new pixie cut means she will die in the series next.

Cohan alarmed fans of the show when she was photographed sporting short hair during the Z100's Jingle Ball last December. Some immediately speculated that Maggie will be killed off when the show returns from its winter break. However, there were few who are more optimistic that the haircut is part of her character's development in the series.

"It's going to be explained some time," said the 34-year-old actress via Entertainment Tonight.

While she smiled at the thought that fans are concerned about her character's fate, Cohan said that there are tougher times ahead for the rest of the people in Alexandria. "We should be pretty worried about a lot of people and a lot of elements in the show."

The actress also assured fans that Maggie is going to fine for a while, after surviving that trap she got herself into at the end of last episode. However, it's not going to last. "She made it up onto the tower from the sea of walker hands. So you know, if that can happen, many things are possible. Many things, not anything," she hinted via Pop Sugar.

The actress remained tight-lipped about her character's reunion with husband, Glenn (Steven Yuen). However, like the viewers, Cohan is hoping that it will happen already.

The actress hinted that it might not take place in the upcoming episode airing Feb. 14. "It's still pretty treacherous in the town right now. So yeah, we're going to have some goods and some bads."

Cohan also spoke with Celebuzz and said that she's "excited for Maggie and Glenn to have a baby Magglenn." Her pregnancy was featured in the first half of Season 6.

Hollywood Take cited that, in the "The Walking Dead" comic books, Maggie did get to cut her hair short together with Glenn and they also decide to head for the Hilltop Colony, leaving Rick and the rest of their friends in Alexandria. The couple fears that Alexandria is no longer safe and with Maggie pregnant, they need to find a better place to live.

However, on the way there, Glenn is killed off by Negan and Maggie becomes devastated. She eventually makes it to Hilltop and becomes its leader for two years until Rick tracks her down to ask for her help.

The TV show's storyline on Maggie is quite different from the comic books but, as the actress stated, many things can change on the show.
