Want to Look Like Batman? Try Ben Affleck's Workout

Becoming a superhero entails a lot of fitness preparations, and Batman is no exception. Actor Ben Affleck, who will portray Batman for the first time in “Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice” had a gruelling fitness routine to get his body ripped for the role.

Batman Workout reports that Affleck received the call for the role just eight weeks before the shooting for the film. The short timeline meant the Hollywood superstar needed to gain 20 pounds by the time production began. It seems the "Gone Girl" actor made it work  because he came out with a body ripped enough for the role of the caped crusader. 

“The working out is the easy part,” Affleck said. “There are only so many ways you can move your bicep up and down, what it really comes does to is following a plan, and making sure your giving your body exactly what it needs to do what you want….grow muscle.”

So how did Batman prepare himself for the showdown with Superman? Pop Workouts said that Affleck had his training with personal trainer Mark Twight, who has also worked with Henry Cavill for “Man Of Steel” and Gerard Butler for “300.”
