During a recent interview, Latina Pop Queen Thalia surprised viewers by revealing that the secret to her youthful glow is by achieving multiple orgasms, as much as 50 a night.

According to the Mirror, the celebrity had sexologist Nancy Alvarez to thank for this juicy tip.

"I was working on a radio program where Nancy gave advice and well, she gave me some marvelous tips too."

Thalia testified how effective the suggestion was by stating, "Of course I did and now, it's the reason I've stayed young and beautiful."

Although Thalia is married to a businessman 23 years her senior, the 44-year-old star is not shy about their bedroom antics.

"My hobby is sex. Luckily for me, my husband also has the same hobby," Thalia was quoted on the Daily Star.

Although the Mexican singer may be the first celebrity to openly admit enjoying sex, studies indicate that there are several health benefits to orgasms and sex.

According to the Cosmopolitan, nightly capers encourage the release of the hormone Dehydroepiandrosterone or DHEA. This specific hormone keeps the skin young and supple,

A 10-year study investigated the relationship between sex and the person's apparent age. The results indicate that couples who had regular sex looked seven to 12 years younger than their true age.

Sex also prevents wrinkles, age spots and sagging.

In a separate post by the Cosmopolitan magazine, reports indicate that having sexual intercourse encourages the production of collagen.

Having frequent orgasms can also make people healthier.

The Huffington Post says that in 1997, a group of Welsh researchers looked into the relationship of orgasms and coronary heart disease. Results indicate that men who had more than two orgasms a week were half as likely to die from a heart-related condition as compared to guys who had less than one orgasm a month.

Another study, this time with women, revealed that ladies who had more orgasms, lived longer than those who did not enjoy sex as much.

Amai Wellness CEO and medical director Joseph Pinzone says that sex also counts as exercise. Intercourse burns five calories a minute.

WebMD believes this is because the activity increases the person's heart rate while using a variety of muscles.

Pinzone recommends making it a regular activity.

"Like with exercise, consistency helps maximize the benefits," Pinzone explained.
