'Samsung Galaxy S6, Galaxy Note 5' Android 6.0 Marshmallow Update Release Date Leaked, Upgrade Coming Soon - Details Here!

A new leak reveals that Samsung will be rolling out the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update on the Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy Note 5 next month. Slash Gear posted a photo of the alleged update guide that came from a leaked email.

According to the guide, The Galaxy S5 will receive the update on March or April this year, the Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 Edge+ users will receive theirs on February, the Galaxy S6 Edge and Galaxy S6 users will have the update available to them by February or March and the Galaxy Note and Galaxy Note Edge will get the update on March or April.

The leaks were apparently taken by Mobipicker. The outlet reports that their source revealed that the leak is named "XTECH LEAKS."

They also pointed out that the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge have already been seeded with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow beta. They speculate that the devices will have the latest Marshmallow update, the Android 6.0.1. However, both updates are still on testing phase and the latest version does not contain major updates.

In other news such as the rumors about the Galaxy S7, the newest flagship phone from Samsung, might be released alongside a phone upgrade program likened with the Apple's iPhone upgrade plan.

Phone Arena cited Korean news site ET News that Samsung will be having a phone upgrade program in March this year. They also noted that it is the scheduled time for when the Galaxy S7 handhelds will be rolled out after being launched at the MCW 2016 event next month. Samsung will apparently have the program available in all key markets including the U.S.

As for the expected flagship, the Samsung Galaxy S7 is rumored to have a 5.1-inch 2560 x 1440 Quad HD Super AMOLED pressure-sensitive display. It will house either a Samsung Exynos 8890 chip or a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 depending on where it is released. According to Tech Times, the S7 will have 4 GB RAM, 12-MP rear camera and a 5 MP selfie camera. It is expected to come with the anticipated microSD expansion slot which will allow users to extend their external storage. Additionally, it is rumored that the phone will feature an iris scanner as an additional security feature. Users can look at the device to secure or unlock it.
