"Fast and Furious" fans are excited for the new installment of their favorite movie franchise. Although the late Paul Walker is no longer around, his friends in the film company will still represent his character with another actor.

Fans will certainly be missing Paul Walker's character, Brian O'Conner.

During the last installment of the series, the actor died in a car accident before the movie wraps up the productions. Incredibly so, Universal Studios has done a magnificent job of putting in Cody Walker for Paul's character, Brian O'Conner. The audience hardly noticed the difference.

Screen Rant reported that, although there were speculations that Cody will once again play the role of O'Conner in "Fast and Furious 8," the production company made it clear that they will be heading into a different direction. They said that they have already retired O'Conner in "Fast and Furious 7." The company acknowledged Paul's contribution to the movie, but they said that they will move ahead without his character.

In a report gathered by Polygon, it was reportedly confirmed by a representative from Universal Studios that Cody will not be joining the cast members of the upcoming movie.

"There's no truth behind it," the representative stated.

The speculation came after Ron Meyer of the NBC Universal released a statement saying that Brian O'Conner will be included in the future installments and will be represented by Paul's brother, Cody. The rumor first appeared on the online database of information related to films and television, IMDb.

Meyer may have been misquoted or misunderstood, according to some fans. The report has since been deleted.

Nevertheless, many followers of the series are hoping to get another dose of action-packed movie in the next installment.

This will be the first movie in the series without the Walker. "Fast and Furious 8" will be headed by director F. Gary Gray, who also directed the movie "Straight Outta Compton," the critically-acclaimed film about the rap group, NWA.

"Fast and Furious 8" cast members will include the returning actors, Vin Diesel as Dominic Toretto, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson as Hobbs, Michelle Rodriguez who will play Letty "Ortiz" Toretto, Ludacris as Tej Parker, Tyrese Gibson as Roman Pearce and Jason Statham as Deckard Shaw.

"Fast and Furious 8" will come out to cinemas in the United States in April 17, 2017. Universal Studios has not made any announcement yet if other countries will have the same premiere date.
