'Fifty Shades Darker' Trailer & Cast News: Dakota Johnson Talks on Sex Scenes

There has been a lot of anticipation for "Fifty Shades Darker," the sequel to "Fifty Shades of Grey" from E.L. James erotic trilogy. Recently, one of the lead stars, Dakota Johnson, sat down with Access Hollywood to share her experiences in "gearing up" for the film and the highly talked about sex scenes.

“We’re gonna start filming that soon…I think it’s gonna be exciting….to go back and develop characters further," said Johnson, who plays the role of Anastasia Steele in the said film.

The 26-year-old actress added how "Fifty Shades Darker" will be different from "Fifty Shades of Grey," saying, "The story, is sort of like a thriller now. And it gets kinda scary. It’s awesome."

This corroborates with a previous Latinos Health report, where co-lead star Jamie Dornan, who plays the role of the sexy Christian Grey, hinted that more NSFW scenes will be expected in "Fifty Shades Darker." Dornan also expressed to People how excited he is in reprising his role as Christian Grey saying, "I’m looking forward to embodying Christian again -- and getting a chance to show more of him."

When Access Hollywood asked Johnson about the film's controversial sex scenes, the young actress shared her inhibitions while filming them. “It never is comfortable to be seen like that…because it’s not in a private, or intimate environment,” Johnson said.

In a previous interview with Elle, despite her inhibitions, Johnson also shared how her fearlessness when raunchy visuals for the "Fifty Shades" series. She said, "I don’t have any problem doing anything. The secret is I have no shame. I think there's a part of a woman that wants to be the thing that breaks a man down."

Meanwhile, in other "Fifty Shades" news, Variety reports that Kim Basinger has been tapped to play Elena Lincoln, Christian Grey's ex-lover, in "Fifty Shades Darker." According to the news outlet, Basinger is the newest Universal-confirmed cast member to join the "Fifty Shades" sequel. Basinger's role as Grey's former partner has been foreshadowed in "Fifty Shades of Grey" which means that her character coming to the next instalment was a bit expected.

"Fifty Shades Darker" and "Fifty Shades Freed" will be shot back to back, and production is reported in February, per Youth Health Magazine. Variety says that apart from Johnson, Dornan and Basinger, other actors that will be seen in the sequel are Luke Grimes, Eloise Mumford and Max Martini.
