It took ten years before it was discovered that Tracy Dart who proclaimed she was a three-time breast cancer survivor has never been diagnosed with the disease. She led "Team Tracy," a fundraiser, and has raised over $400,000 for charity. Local Seattle officials of the Susan G.Komen foundation only found out last week after they were alerted by someone from Team Tracy, New York Daily News reports.

Matthew Welch of Auburn Volkswagen who received the information from an insider in Team Tracy was shocked upon hearing the news. He worked closely with Dart to raise money for the fundraiser.

"The first words were, 'Tracy doesn't have cancer,'" he told KOMO-TV. "'No, she's never had cancer' were the second words. It just blew our mind."

Christi Ball Loso, the spokeswoman from Komen's Puget Sound Washington office, said that Dart has never been paid by the breast cancer foundation for her efforts.

"We are sad for Tracy and her family and hope that she, and they, will find healing in the days ahead. The Team Tracy community has been a steadfast supporter of our mission to end breast cancer since 2006," Loso said. "This money has been used as intended - for Komen's research and community health programs."

Dart apparently personally raised more than $28,000 for the foundation while Team Tracy has gathered more than $400,000.

"This money has been used as intended - for Komen's research and community health programs. And, we can assure the community that Tracy did not receive any funds from Komen," said Loso in an email to West Seattle Blog. "The organizations that receive Komen funding go through significant vetting to assess their program impact."

Welch was quick to say that they weren't angry but sympathized with the possibility that Dart may be troubled.

"Our whole goal is to give back to the community," said Welch, as reported by KOMO News. "And we're really praying good things can come out of this for Susan G. Komen, and Team Tracy."

Daily Mail reports that Dart claims to have been diagnosed with breast cancer in 2008. However, her bluff was uncovered five years later after she recently went to the hospital for a liver condition and it was found that no records of cancer diagnosis were found. Team Tracy has been dissolved and majority of the group's social media pages have been removed.
