It's not always easy being the son or daughter of a celebrity.

Harley Quinn Smith, daughter of actor / director Kevin Smith, learned that lesson when she was almost kidnapped by fake Uber drivers, USA Today reports.

Harley Quinn, who is named after the comic book villain of the same name, posted on her Instagram account that she requested for an Uber driver after stopping at a Starbucks in Brentwood, CA.

It was then that a large beige car came and tried to pick up the actress, pretending to be her Uber driver. According to Smith, two men between the ages of 20-30 were claiming that they were at the location to pick her up.

According to Glamour, it was at this point when the actress became suspicious. Smith reports that although the car had an Uber sign on the window, the two men could not confirm the name of the person they were supposed to pick up.

The actress also noticed that the men did not even have the Uber app installed on their phones. However, Smith did notice that one of the men (the driver) had brown hair and looked older. The other man had blonde hair and rode on the passenger seat.

Smith refused to get inside the car, so the men drove off.

Unfortunately, Smith states that she was in too much of a haze of fear that she didn't think about taking a picture of the car or the license plate. The actress does warn people on her Instagram to watch out for the car that could still be on the prowl.

After learning about his daughter's run-in with the fake Uber drivers, Kevin Smith decided to cheer Harley Quinn up.

Ever the jokester daddy, Smith bought his daughter a cake with a note written on it saying "Sorry Men Suck." Kevin also presented his daughter a movie prop of Harley Quinn's bat from the upcoming "Suicide Squad" movie.

Other than escaping fake Uber drivers, Harley Quinn has actually been busy starting an acting career.

She recently finished filming a movie written and directed by her father called "Yoga Hosers", where she stars opposite her real-life best friend Lily-Rose Depp, who is the daughter of award-winning actor Johnny Depp.

The young actress is also set to appear in a TV series that is also written and directed by her father called "Hollyweed." Not much is known at this time about the project.
