Move over Mr. Green Lantern, Deadpool is riding shotgun from hereon. And, if Ryan Reynolds would have his way, it's not even the backseat you can take.

The 39-year-old Canadian actor professed his impassioned affinity for his new superhero character, Deadpool, by saying that he is not interested playing any other superhero characters. And, he is so loving it that he would not want anyone from getting his hands on the red suit.

"I never want to play another comic book character again; Deadpool, I would like to play for the rest of my life - that'd be fun," Reynolds told IGN on his take regarding the prospect of reprising his role as Hal Jordan in the rumored Green Lantern movie.

"No, I've done a number of them, and I think it's time for other people to do them now. You've got to share the wealth on that one."

According to some reports, another Green Lantern movie is being mapped out by Warner Bros. and may have a release date in 2020 with a proposed title of "Green Lantern Corps." Nothing is set in stone as of yet when it comes to the details. But, Warner, definitely, would want to get things right, this time around.

The previous installment of the film, which starred Reynolds back in 2011 under the direction of Martin Campbell, did not meet the expectations from both the comic book fans and the studio execs alike with its disappointing box office return.

Meanwhile, the latest trailer from the "Deadpool' movie has been getting a lot of raves and has created a lot of excitement for the moviegoers. The YouTube trailer from the 20th Century Fox, currently, has over 14.3 million views.

"Based upon Marvel Comics' most unconventional antihero, 'Deadpool' tells the origin story of former Special Forces operative turned mercenary Wade Wilson, who after being subjected to a rogue experiment that leaves him with accelerated healing powers, adopts the alter ego Deadpool," according to a plot summary from Fox Movies posted on its website.

Fans will surely fall for the unlikely superhero with his hilarious antics and twisted sense of humor. He is one of those few film and TV characters who were able to break the fourth wall.

The movie is slated for a Friday, Feb. 12, 2016, release in cinemas across the United States. For the meantime, you can check out and enjoy the "Deadpool" trailer below.
