DMX 'Lifeless' in New York Hotel Parking Lot - Details Here!

Earl Simmons popularly known as DMX, was found unconscious in a hotel parking lot in Yonkers, New York. The "No Sunshine" rapper is already recovering.

CNN reported that, on Monday night, the police in Yonkers, New York received a call concerning an unconscious man in a Ramada Inn parking lot. Lt. Patrick McCormack and some other officers immediately responded.

When they reached the place, DMX was not breathing and did not have a pulse, WABC reported. They administered chest compressions and oxygen in the ambulance. They also gave him Narcan.

According to Western Journalism, a witness told the police that the rapper had taken an unidentified powder shortly before he passed out. Per the report, as a response to the situation, they gave him Narcan, a drug overdose antidote.

DMX regain consciousness at the time he was transported by the ambulance to Saint Joseph's Medical Center in Yonkers for further treatment and observation.

The police did not release the man's name. However, DMX's lawyer, Murray Richman, confirmed that the "Party Up" rapper was hospitalized on Monday.

DMX's representative denied that the celebrity had an overdosed on drug and insisted that he had experienced a severe asthma attack, per TMZ. A family member told the publication that the "Lord Give Me a Sign" singer asked for his inhaler prior to the collapse.

DMX's wife and child were quick to visit him and denied about the allegations of drug overdose.

"He told me he is happy to be alive. He said it was an asthma attack. He has a long history of asthma. He had a bad cold for a week. Be then next thing you know, he was on the floor and in the hospital," she said.

Per CNN, DMX was originally from Yonkers. He rose to fame in the 1990s with a string of hit singles including "Ruff Ryders Anthem," "Party Up (Up in Here)" and "What's My Name?" He also appeared on several songs with Jay-Z, Nas, Eminem and Ja Rule.

DMX made some television shows and films alongside Jet Li in "Romeo Must Die" and "Cradle 2 the Grave." He even had his short-lived BET reality show called "DMX: Soul of a Man."

However, in the past years, his legal troubles and mental health issues took its toll on his career. His friends in the industry including Questlove, Ja Rule and Swizz Beatz offered prayers for his speedy recovery.

DMX is already recovering. According to his lawyer, he appears well enough to pursue his concert in Pennsylvania on Saturday. The rapper is on tour to earn a living and meet his child-support obligation. He is in the midst of a series of arrest warrants related to his ongoing Family Court divorce and child-support case.
