Lady Gaga has never failed to impress her Little Monsters with her symbolic songs and her outstanding performance through the Billboard charts. Her fifth and latest studio album labeled "Joanne" outdid itself as it danced all the way to the No.1.

This is her first solo album in 3 years and who was not expecting a blast? In the first week of its release, the album sold 201,000 units in the first week alone. 170,000 of those units were the known sales of CDs and digital downloads.

But apart from that Gaga garnered around 26 million streams. Although critics did not exactly approve of the soft rock tone of the album, that did not stop the fans from showing their ecstasy and appreciation.

Nielsen Music reported that 1,500 streams of an album's songs and tracks is equivalent to one official sale. This album has been said to be Gaga's 4th No.1 hit throughout her career.

Not just that but Joanna has exceeded expectations and is marked as the fourth biggest album debut week this year. Drake, Beyoncé and Frank Ocean procured the first 3 positions.

It seems to be a bigger triumph for Lady Gaga as she received no sort of assistance or publicizing from external applications and people. Drake's topping album "Views" as well Frank's "Blonde" both were primarily sold on Apple Music.

While Beyoncé's "Lemonade" album was showcased on Jay Z's streaming application, Tidal. Still Lady Gaga appears to take the win as she has won four No.1 albums during this decade. Only a select number of artists like Kanye West, One Direction, Drake and Justin Bieber have this privilege.

Right beneath Joanne lies Michael Bubble's album; Nobody But Me that collected 91,000 sales. At 3rd position Pentatonix's Christmas album "A Pentatonix Christmas" debuts.

Immediately followed by the band Korn and their "The Serenity of Suffering". Drake's legendary album "Views" still manages to lie on the 5th as the most successful and popular album of 2016.
