CMA Awards 2016: Beyoncé's alluring performance, big night winners & more (Video)

The Country Music Awards celebrates its 50 years of country music packed with stunning performers. It was a look back at the history of the genre combined with the modern stars and the all-time legends.

Beyoncé shines as a guest role of the big night on Wednesday. She performed "Daddy Lessons" and was coupled on stage by the Dixie Chicks. The night was ended by Garth Brooks, who is the entertainer of the year and a fourth-time winner in the 1990s, according to Billboard.

Brooks thanked the CMAs. He further said that they are so damned lucky to be part of this thing called country music and tipping his hat to the audience. He has a total of five wins -- 1991, 1992, 1997, 1998 and 2016.

Carrie Underwood won the female vocalist of the year award over Miranda Lambert, who won six times of the award. There were also new winners like Thomas Rhett, who won the single of the year award for "Die A Happy Man". Lori McKenna bagged a trophy for song of the year. She won twice straight in the same category.

New Artist of the Year: Maren Morris

Single of the Year: Thomas Rhett for "Die a Happy Man"

Musical Video of the Year: Tim Mattia and Chris Stapleton for "Fire Away"

Willie Nelson Lifetime Achievement Award: Dolly Parton

Musical Event of the Year: Elle King and Dierks Bentley for "Different for Girls"
