The recent announcement made by Microsoft is literally a blow to Amazon and Google who are the two major brands into Digital Assistance. Microsoft is planning to roll out HomeHub with its future Windows 10 updates. Rumor mills suggest it will outsmart Amazon Echo and Google Home. Here's what information is available.

As per a report published by The Verge, Microsoft is now under development stage of building an intelligent Digital Assistant named "HomeHub" which comes in a bundle with the Windows 10 future updates codenamed Redstone 3 (2017) and Redstone 4 (2018).

Ars Technica described the backdrop of the story in its report as per which it all started when a Twitterati was flipping into preview builds and that's where he found a feature codenamed HomeHub. As per some sources, with HomeHub, Microsoft will change the outlook of a shared Family desktop.

Earlier, speculations surfaced that Microsoft HomeHub will triumph over Amazon Echo and Google Home. As rumor mills keep churning rumors, it is a software application bundled with Cortana and that works similar to other Digital Assistants.

Further, Ars Technica escalated the pros and cons. The HomeHub will be a Cortana-enabled application especially for shared machines in which Cortana with be referred as "FamTana". The software will have a fridge-door interface. HomeHub will support shared resources more efficiently. The software comes bundled with Windows 10 updates which could open new doors for improvements.

As per the statistics are concerned, Amazon Echo is a widely acclaimed and popular product and when it included Alexa - Digital Assistant, the sales skyrocketed. When compared to Cortana, Alexa is more evolved and it is designed to understand the modulation and fluctuation in voice patterns and then it acts accordingly by giving exact results.

On the other hand, Cortana has a PC screen, which means users can perhaps skip using Cortana and use mouse or keyboard. Cortana has been found to have a problem understanding the voice patterns and hence it produces inaccurate results, as quoted by Ars Technica.
