Baby Groot was a prayer come true to James Gunn. He states that the character wasn't meant for selling toys after all. The Guardians of the Galaxy director opened up about his efforts to retain the little guy on screen.

Guardians of the Galaxy was a huge difference in the comic book turned movie spectrum. Each of the characters has different motivations and intentions. It is also good to mention this is the humorous part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Be that as it may Groot was the character that was most liked by viewers. The walking tree with only one phrase to say ''I Am Groot'', he stole the hearts of millions. Especially (SPOILER) after his death a regrowth as the Baby Groot. Yet, Marvel and Disney had a bunch of Baby Groot toys ready in their arsenal by the time the movie came out.

Recent trailer release of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 has created mass hysteria with the appearance of Baby Groot. It has turned out to be 2016's cutest trailer with the quirks of the little guy.

According to Comicbook.com James Gunn recently approached fans through his Facebook page to convey there are skeptics who believed that Baby Groot is for selling Toys.

He conveyed his efforts to write the film with the bigger Groot. He pointed out during the process, he realized that in fact it would take years for a sentient tree grow, and that story won't fit in the timeline of the current MCU. Hence he continued to write with the Baby Groot

James Gunn opened up about his fear, whether the studio will accept his Baby Groot idea for the second volume of the movie. He then mentions that he was happily surprised as he got the thumbs up from Marvel Studio.

James Gunn ended his message like this ''All that said, I'm not an idiot. I knew if Baby Groot worked, the world would want Baby Groot toys and figures and plushies. But that certainly didn't seem like a certainty when I was alone in my office conceiving of a story, and it most definitely was not the driving force of the decision. I, like so many of you through the trailer alone, had fallen in love with the little dude - even though at that point he was only in my head''.

Its pretty sure every kid and collectors are going to buy the Baby Groot toy no matter what. Take a look at him, he is adorable!
