The iPad mini 5 is long overdue for debut. The iPad mini 4 was unveiled 13 Months ago in September 2015. It features significant design changes and updated speculations which made it one of the best 8in tablets.

After the recent release of the new iPhones, Apple fans have shifted their focus to the Cupertino based tech giant's other products. Apple has not yet announced an official release date, reports have it that the delay is attributable to the fact that the company has opted to use an A10 processor instead of the current A9 chipset.

No announcement pertaining to the release date of Apple iPad mini was made at Apple's event on 7 September 2016, so it is speculated that the new mini 5 will debut March 2017, although its predecessors were released in October and November.

There are also rumors speculating that as a result of this decision, the tablet will have remarkable speculations and features which can be comparable to the new iPhone 7. The A10 processor is estimated to be paired up with 2 GB worth of RAM, according to Christian Today.

Battery power is another aspect users will want apple to make sn improvement as battery performance is a priority for the iPad mini 5. Users will like Apple to implement its own version of Qualcomm's Quick Charge technology. 

 Apple has never produced a device with removable storage, but it seems that fans will be extremely delighted if Apple released a design with an additional card spot.

 With the recent integration of Apple Pay on macOS Sierra and the Apple Watch, its inclusion on the iPad mini is very probable. The mini 5 should be a product which would benefit from having Apple Pay integration.

The Ipad mini will just like the Apple Watch and two most recent iPhone generations be poolside friendly. In terms of color, it should feature a pink and white option.

According to Macworld, the features has only been released with the iPhone 7. Others include: brand new audio port since Apple has decided to drop the standard 3.5mm jack, as well as a touch-sensitive switch, removal of the headphone port, to make the mini 5 slimmer, and a better intergration of 3D touch.
