A new Pirates of the Carribean is going to hit theaters in 2017. However, as early as now, it has been predicted that the fifth installment may not be a big hit as opposed to the first movie more than a decade ago.

It is no doubt that it is Captain Jack Sparrow's character who propelled the success of the Disney movie series. But with Johnny Depp's recent bad image due to alleged abuse to wife Amber Heard, the legendary character may lose charm and popularity and thus may pull down ratings for the movie.

According to Movienewsguide, the actor's involvement in a domestic violence issue took a 'really ugly turn' and may lead him not to have the iconic role anymore in the fifth installment. In fact, Disney is considering looking for a fresh face to replace him further considering the idea of a re-shoot amidst Depp's marital problems.

The source further argued that the plummeting ratings is not just about bad publicity surrounding the 53-year old. It has also been reported that followers got bored of the repetitive storyline in the previous installments.

Well, Pirates of the Carribean moviemakers are trying to improve that with plot changes and the introduction of new villains, Carina (played by Kaya Scoledario), Captain Salazar (played by Javier Bardem), Henry, rumored to be the son of Will and Elizabeth (played by Brenton Thwaites) and the comeback of the good buy Will Turner (played by Orlando Bloom) whose role was not reprised in the previous installment, Moviepilot reported.

Other actors David Wenham who will play the role of Scarfield and Kevin McNally are also expected to join Captain Jack Sparrow's crew.

Plot revisions are also expected to happen in Dead Men Tell No Tales. Pirates 5 spoilers hinted that the installment will go back to its roots and may come out as a 'reboot' of the first and most successful installment, Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl and at the same time continuing the timeline of the previous installments.

Meanwhile, Johnny Depp is trying to revive his charm and forge a new positive image by recently paying a visit and surprising sick kids admitted in the Great Ormond Street Children's Hospital, Mail Online said.

On Friday, the award-winning actor was seen donned in Captain Sparrow's costume as he played the Santa Claus' role in reviving hopes of sick children admitted in the London hospital. Some Instagram users posted pictures showing their hospital encounter with the actor.
