Pokémon GO lets the players choose a Pokémon buddy which follows them around as they search the real world in the hunt to catch them all. The Pokémon buddies are nice addition to the game. However, the latest bug in Pokémon GO is turning these Poké pals into monsters.

This bug makes the buddy Pokémon giant, blocking the whole screen with their enormous mass. The gigantic proportions of the buddy Pokémon make it difficult to play the game.

The bug comes into picture each time the players tap their profile icon or the option to view their buddy and for a split second the Pokémon buddy transforms into a giant monster. As per GameNGuide, the gigantic buddy is five times larger than the player's avatar. The transformation can only been seen for a split second. Some players are quite pleased with the change and are having fun with it, but the millisecond transformation is bit disappointing to them.

A number of Pokémon GO players have experienced this bug. But there are others who haven't experienced anything like this. Kotaku has shared some of the gigantic looking Pokémon buddies.

The previous update of Pokémon GO had fixed some issues from the game. As of now, Niantic hasn't commented on the bug, but it's not hard to imagine that the studio will attempt to fix the issue causing giant Pokémon buddy by the time the big update rolls out next week. Few days ago, the studio had fixed an issue with gym training rewards, so it is expected that this giant buddy bug will also be fixed soon.

Upon its release, Pokémon GO had quickly became the most downloaded game on both iOS App Store and Google play in its first week itself.

Pokémon GO is available now on iOS and Android devices.
